Ghana has been named one of the countries with the cheapest mobile data in the world.

The Worldwide Mobile Data Pricing 2022 report conducted a survey that led to this conclusion.

It was compiled by Cable.co.uk, which examined data from 5,292 mobile data plans in 233 countries.

The findings were based on the cost of one gigabyte (GB) of data in the countries studied.

After analyzing 12 data plans, Ghana ranked 40th with an average price of $0.61 (5.12) per GB.

Ghana, on the other hand, is ranked second in Africa behind Libya. Somalia and Morocco took third and fourth place, respectively.

Overall, Israel ranks first with $0.04 per GB, followed by Italy, San Marino, and Fiji as the countries with the cheapest mobile data.

According to Cable.co.uk, Israel has many service providers that provide wide 4G LTE and 5G network coverage, as well as a higher smartphone market penetration than the United States.

Saint Helena, a British Overseas Territory, has the most costly mobile date prices, with a gigabyte costing $41.06.

According to the findings, countries with good 4G or 5G infrastructure are more likely to have less expensive mobile data plans.
